Hi,
Is the i5 3570k at £138 better value than the i5 4670k at £156?

Im due an upgrade and I thought I would take advantage while these are on sales! Ill be mainly gaming so will that extra £20 make a difference?

Also is there a good budget motherboard for either of these?

Solution
i think a 8350 would be better on a budget but up to u

well the 4670k has about a 10% performance increase, but the 3570k does overclock better. It really depends on what your mobo is and what you are upgrading from. My opinion spend the 20 extra euros and get the most up to date processor or if you can wait for devils canyon and buy one then when the price drops due to the new line up or buy one of the new ones.

Sorry, forgot that ive already got 8gb of ram!

Im not too sure between 200 and 250 but cheaper is better if im not going to get much of a performance boost.

Thats really all you will need besides a new psu(possibly). The ram is compaitable and so is the GPU,(both support DDR3 1600).

I may be wrong but this is £210.36 all together.
