Will FX6300 bottleneck my GPU ?

Hi there, I have a AMD FX 6300 running with 8GB of Ram and MSI 990FXA-GD65 and I'm planning to upgrade from HD 7770 to GTX 770 but will my CPU Bottleneck my GTX770 ?

If yes then how much ?

Um yes and no. In extremely cpu intensive games like RTS games and MMO's you will bottleneck but in highly threaded apps that can atually utilize 6 threads no.

i wouldnt worry. have a nice aftermarket cooler and you can easily oc over 4ghz with that mobo!isnt necessary but it will give quite a boost in performance. for such setup though make sure your psu is up to the task. a quality 600 - 650w psu would be perfect!

I've heard the bottleneck point for a 6300 would be a 270X (not a trusty source) I don't think it will bottleneck, on newer games at least (and for older games you won't use your whole GPU anyways) and when it does it will be minimal, it's a very good CPU (price/performance)
