So i was using windows 7 and everything was fine with my sound, but since i have an old laptop i decided to install windows xp on it for better performance and fps ingame ( worked really well) but now i cant get headphones to work, sound on speakers work but when i connect the headphones to the audio jack it stops working on the speakers but it also doesnt start on the headphones, realtek is not even detecting when i conenct them... i remember that on windows 7 it was showing up that i had connected something on the audiojack

i have tried re-installing and updating audio driver still.. nothing :(

could some one help me? I mostly play fps games so its impossible to play without headphones ...

i think it has something to do with drivers, it was working perfect on windows 7... is there any driver besides the realtek one for the jacks?
