I am looking at buying a used Asus U47A-RHI7N15. I really want to be able to put its 1 TB hard drive in the optical bay for data storage, and then put an SSD in the primary slot to boot windows and run programs off of.
Doing the replacement seems easy enough, but I don't really have technical knowledge about laptop assembly. I see that there are different caddy sizes depending on the size of your optical bay, like 9.5 mm, 12.5 mm, etc, but I don't know how to tell what size I would need to do this.
Can anyone help?
