Hello, basically the title says it all.

When I turn on the power supply, the motherboard power button is lightened up with an orange LED. If the 4 pin CPU power cable is in and I press that button, nothing happens at all, pretty much ignoring my command. If the 4 pin CPU power cable is NOT plugged in, it will start and turn off in around 3 seconds, doing this eternally until I turn off the PSU. (Happened to me when built comp, pretty much meaning "there is no CPU power"). Thanks in advance.

One probable cause may be that there is damage either to one of the 4 pins or to the plug on the cable. Use a flashlight and investigate *very carefully. If the PSU is modular, also check where the cable is plugged into the PSU.

If not that use a voltmeter and after removing the connectors from the motherboard, and then use the paperclip trick (short green to black in the 20-pin connector) to turn the PSU on. Use a voltmeter to test the CPU cable.

Alternatively, If you have a PSU tester, use that to test if there is power. If the PSU delivers power, then it would seem that there is an issue with the motherboard.

The final and worst option could be that the CPU was not seated correctly and thatt some of the pins on it got damaged.

The thing is: This issue started happening right after I moved some cables around in my build, and no, the CPU was not touched. The computer was working perfectly before that. And it being the PSU is pretty much impossible due to the fact that without the 4 pin cable attached it powers many fans, LEDs, etc... Also tried with a different 4 pin cable to make sure the cable wasn't bad.

I am currently uploading a video to YouTube about the problem and will have it up here right when it's up!

I'm curious to see the video but maybe you have a loose connection within your wires or something is not hooked up properly. Try pulling out the motherboard battery for 5 minutes to see if that clears anything up.

I just decided I'm going to RMA the motherboard and the CPU. Better off getting new ones anyways. Also, here is the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eacKvpeR8Mo
