I decided to attempt to build my own cooling pad, I got myself a 200mm pair of fans, they are meant to spin up to 700RPM.

Bearing Type: Sleeve Bearing
Rated Voltage: 12 VDC
Current: 0.16A (Max 0.28A)
Power consumption: 3.36W
Connector: 3pin
3 to 4 pin adapter included

Now I managed to hook it up manually to a USB port, but it was way too slow, so then I used the USB into the mains and it was still way too slow.

I think I may need a PSU or a way to hook it up to the mains.

Any tips?

Fan is the MegaFlow 200

Hi alexistheboss15
There is a way to do this and you will get a bonus also

this is a usb to sata ,ide etc adaptor , which you can use for other things later , but the part you are interested in is , is the power for the hDDs , it is a mains plug to a molex at 12v , meant to plug into the adaptor , buy a molex to fan cable and you can plug your fan direct into the wall socket
i have used this to test power fans without a psu many times and it works well , it is a cheap alternative to power your fan , plus if you require later , you can power any molex / sata device and connect it to your pc.

watch the video for the rundown on the parts

Hi, thanks for the links, sadly as this is a US company they cost like 80$ here in Cyprus.

Wondering if there is another company you could find that is German or English that produces these, or if there is any other way of connecting my PC fan to the mains
