When changing cards ......

1. Uninstall everything that says "nVidia" on it before removing old card
2. Shut down system and swap cards
3. Boot but do not let Windows auto install anything
4. Install latest drivers.
5. Install GeForce experience.

Latest driver is 340.43 (Beta) 337.88 WHQL

If ya don't uninstall, ya run the risk of saved settings for your old card being applied to the new card. Many peeps also reboot and run a registry cleaner after uninstalling old drivers.
The drivers should be up to 335.23 by now.

I've downloaded and installed Geforce Experience and it lets me know when there's updates available and then downloads and installs them and uninstalls the old ones automatically.

Go to the Geforce site and download Geforce Experience and let it do the same for you.

Or on that website, let it detect your new card and update the drivers for you. Can take half an hour depending on your internet speed.

I have geforce experience already and it says the drivers are up to date but i'm trying to figure out which drivers to uninstall before i add the new gtx 760.

are you saying that geforce experience will uninstall/install everything i need automatically when i boot after swapping the graphics cards?
