So I bought a MSI GS70 Stealth with a GTX860m card about a month and a half ago. Just recently, probably about a week ago I started having problems with my wireless. While playing games, my wireless connection randomly drops to a limited connection and causes whatever application im in to freeze.
On the MSI website it says to update the "Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260" drivers. I've done that. Under the device manager, I've made sure to un-check "Allow the computer to turn of this device to save power". I have tried uninstalling, then re-installing the latest drivers. My graphics card is 100% up to date with its drivers. Still, none of these things have solved the problem.

One last thing, I'm not sure how relevant this is, but in the event viewer for my wireless device, on 6/19/2014 the device was deleted by the source "Kernel-PnP" with event id "420". This happend before i manually deleted it with "UserPnP". Again, "Kernel-Pnp" shows up on 6/25/2014 and deletes the device again. The rest of the events where done by me.

Any help will be extremely appreciated, thank you!

Yes, I've uninstalled and re-installed the device and drivers. I also just factory reset my notebook. Problem is still occurring. I'm thinking this is a hardware failure, but it only started happening a week ago, ive had this computer for a little over a month...

Hello again, but i just encountered something that may be of use. After wiping my computer clean, complete factory reset, I updated my wireless driver to the latest one, 17.0.3.2.

I again got the error, but my troubleshooter was able to resolve it by resetting the WIFI adapter. In the log it says this
Description . . . . . . . . . . : Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260
Manufacturer . . . . . . . . . : Intel Corporation
Provider . . . . . . . . . . . : Microsoft
Version . . . . . . . . . . . : 16.0.0.62

It STILL Says i've got the old Driver version 16.0.0.62, but in device manager it clearly shows that I've got the 17.0.3.2 version. What is going on?
