Connecting Case Fan

I bought an extra case fan and was going to connect it to the psu (it is one I want to run all the time at full speed) but I dont know how to connect it. I have the cooler master V750 psu and a cooler master 200mm case fan.

Do I plug the fan into the 4 slots in the back of the psu? Where I plug in the cord to power the SSD and HDD? It's a 5 prong outlet though thats whats confusing me. Where do I plug it in?

If there's room, plug it into one of the case fan headers on your motherboard.

The psu won't have fan headers. You'd need to use something like - http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=9_73&products_id=285 and plug it to one of the molex 4pin connectors on the power supply.

That fan comes with a 3-pin to molex adapter. Molex is the 4 pronged bulky power connection that you connect old IDE hard drives and disk drives with. Looks like this... http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/1e/Molex_male_connector.jpg

Just find an open molex connection on your power supply and connect it.

I have 4 case fan headers and 1 cpu fan header and 1 cpu opt fan header. Can I plug it into 1 of the cpu headers? It's basically the same thing right? Just it will run all the time just like plugging into the psu just at a lower speed?

Only the cpu cooler fan should be plugged into the cpu fan header.

Plug it into one of the case fan headers.

i know it does I just dont see the outlet for the molex connector. Do I need to plug one of the peripheral 4 pin molex cord into the back and attach the fan that way?

Just plug it into a case fan header. The you can control its speed.

Your 200mm fan looks like it has a white 4 pin molex connector which should plug into a similar connector on a psu modular cable that has matching moles connectors.
Without speed sensing, it will run at full speed always.
Molex fan connectors are usually able to be daisy chained, much like a string of Christmas lights.
