I was just formatting an old 80gb laptop HDD when the power happened to go out in the area. My PC, of course, immediately lost power. Upon restarting and trying to view the drive or format it again, I'm met with "Access is denied" and "You do not have sufficient rights to perform this operation. ", respectively. Where the available space should be, it just says NTFS.
I'm running Windows 8.
And another thing - as I was on my computer most of the time working while it formatted the drive, I noticed incredibly slow progress. I was doing a full format, so I expected it to be slower, but 6 hours in it wasn't even a quarter of the way (when the power went out). Is that normal?
