Hi, could anyone help me please? I have bought a 4 camera CCTV system with dvr which has a built in hard disk. I am wanting to be able to watch the cameras via my laptop and phone. I have wireless broadband fitted on the house but I do not know how to get the dvr to play on the laptop and phone. The description for the dvr say that it supports USB 3G network adapter card and RT3070 chip, does this mean that I have to buy a USB 3G network adapter card to get the system to work? My dvr will be situated upstairs and my wireless broadband is downstairs. I really do not have a clue what I am doing ( yes I am a woman ) with no electrical or PC experience so please could someone help me out here with this, many thanks Debs

Hi, it's a floureon H.264 network dvr. I am hoping to do it wireless as I am wanting to keep the dvr upstairs but the router is downstairs, is there a way I can do this? Or would I need to run a cable from the dvr to the router to get it on my laptop and phone?

there is a way to connect your dvr with your home router, it works like this when the dvr receives some video signals from your cameras it sends some infomations to the router and the router throws them in air so that you can have access to your cctv cams using your phone or laptop..but mind this works just over the LAN that means your device must be within your router range
