Hi, this is my first post so bear with me.

I have a custom made computer put together by people at a computer shop aroudn 20 month ago, I am looking at installing this GPU:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=ATVPDKIKX0DER

this is a -> PNY NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 2GB GDDR5 2DVI/HDMI/DisplayPort PCI-Express Video Card

my system is as follows:

i5-3460 3.2 Ghz CPU
Gt440 nvidia GPU
P8-Z77 -V LX Motherboard
2x 4GB RipJaw.Gkill RAM
420W PSU
GZ-X7 Black Case - 420W PSU

I was wondering if a) This GPU will fit (subtracting the Gt440 of course) b) 420W is enough (I heard that what Nvidia say is an overestimate of required wattage).c) if this is doable by myself (I am a poor engineering student and cant afford much lol ).

If the wattage does not suffice will this do:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=ATVPDKIKX0DER

which is a -> Corsair CX Series 600 Watt ATX/EPS

Help would be GREATLY appreciated as this doing this myself is saving me probably more than $300

If you have a good power supply then then Nvidia wattage is overestimated, sadly yours is bad :p

a) That's a mid atx case so it should fit fine.

b) you could get by with a 450w psu, but it needs to be a good brand and not one included with your case.

GTX 770 is 218w at peak

c) It's as simple as taking your old card out of it's slot and inserting the new one. Add in 1 power connector to clip-in and you are done.

This is the cheapest one I'd recommend 500w EVGA B1

If you want a PSU you can include in your next build, get this one; Antec HCG-620M
