Hey guys,

I have been having a heck of a time trying to find something nice and maybe one of you vets on here can help me.

My Corsair CS550M has one PCIE 8 Pin port that you plug in your graphics card power into. At the end it is split into 2 8 pin connectors that you plug into the card itself.

My graphics card which is the Gigabyte R9 270X 4 Gb model has two 6 pin ports on it.

I really don't like the looks of the cable that came with it so does anyone out there know of any nice aftermarket cables that have the one PCIE 8 Pin that goes into the power supply and then it has the two 8 pins on the other end?

I really like Silverstones sleeved cables but they only seem to make either a single 8 pin (4x4) or a single 8 pin (6x2).

More about : pin power connector dual pin

a c 134 ) Power supply
a c 172 U Graphics card

The Corsair CS550M should come with two (6+2)-pin PCIe power connectors. You just plug in the 6-pin part of the cable. The two that is dangling is fine.

I have the same graphics card! Mine came with two adapters to convert those 6 pin connectors into 2 molex connectors. Did you see those?

The PSU itself only has ONE 8 pin power connector, on the end of this cable is 2 (6+2) connectors that equal 16 pins total on the one end.

Sounds like the same thing as my PSU. What you do is plug both 6 pins into each of the graphics card's sockets. I have the CX500M PSU btw. It powers the R9 270X just fine.

I can take pics if you need.

The 8-pin side is plugged into the PSU in the PCIe port. Then you just connect the 6-pin part of the(6+2)-pin into the graphics card. The 2-pin will be left dangling but that is fine.

Thank you guys but I know all that.

What I was wondering is if there are any nice aftermarket cables made in this configuration. The one that came with it that I'm currently using I don't like.
