Poor Performance in Watch Dogs w/ GTX 770

Hi,

My stock ASUS DCu II OC GTX 770 is averaging around 25-35 FPS in Watch Dogs when I run it at 1920x1080. My display settings are: Vsync - OFF, Max GPU Frame Rendering - 3, AA - TXAA 4x. My graphic settings are on the Ultra preset except with AO at HBAO+ high. Since I have the 2gb card, I run it at High textures but unlike the performance of some other people with the same card, I am getting FPS as low as 15 in certain populated scenes near the beginning of the game, for example. That is horrible performance and I know the game is poorly optimized for PC's but even then, with a card like the GTX 770, I should be getting an FPS around 50-55 on average at those settings. When I turn AA off, I average around 50 FPS but even that is poor when others are getting 50-55 with it on. Is it just my card or should I change some settings. In the Nvidia control panel, I have the "Use the advanced 3D image settings" option selected.

Thanks!

[EDIT: And oh god is the stuttering horrendous!]

I have the i5 4670k at stock settings. And even with AA off, the card averages at around only 50 FPS which is not good as I said before, because most others with that card are averaging around 60 at those settings.

Well i get 45-70 fps with my 770 tf oc edition on 1440x900 with msaa 4x mine cpu is worse than yours i5 3350p am still mad cause i can't max out the game with this gpu at decent frames all say this gpu is overkill for 2 years but it didn't last even one and am dissapointed with it.. Eventhough ppl says that wd is poorly optimizated so i guess its the game. Also it says you need an i7 4th gen for ultra

I could still return the card and get maybe the 780. The reason this upsets me the most is that I can't even max out today's game and that I was hoping I could be future-proof for at least 2-3 years with this card.

Should I upgrade or is it just this game?

Yeah its shit nvidia want us to pay crazy money for a gpu that need to be upgradet next year. The 770 is a very good card and perform well in bf4 crysis but ubishit games aren't optimizated if you're gonna play ubi games get 780 but still fps difference between 770 and 780 is like 6 so dunno even 780 can't get 60 fps on ultra in watch dogs i saw a video with 780 ti 1080p and it drops to 40 fps for some reason http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3243_gj4ZE he even got better cpu.

It has nothing to do with Nvidia - The GTX 770 performs a bit better in Watchdogs than the slightly less expensive R9 280X. The GTX 780 performs a bit better than the slightly less expensive R9 290. Overall, the price/performance ratio is about the same between AMD and Nvidia cards.

Watchdogs, however, is practically broken on both companies' cards.
