Have just used Samsung Recovery for complete restore and never had problems before

This time though I can not find D drive a partition on which I had backup etc

Going into disc management I see the following
Simple Basic Healthy (Recovery Partition ) 328.24 Gb
(D drive I think )

Simple Basic Healthy (Recovery Partition ) 20.30Gb

(C:) Simple Basic NTFS Healthy (Boot,Page File,Crash Dump< Primary Partition ) 328 Gb

System Simple Basic NFTS Healthy (System,Active,Primary Partition ) 100MB

Is there any way I can access D drive again or should I delete it and how can I then partition the drive to again show a D partition

Thanks heaps Ron

Go into disk management click on action.
and re scan for drives.

In most cases the recovery partition is hidden in windows anyway for obvious reasons
So its not tampered with, if you cannot see it you cannot mess it up.
Active means windows has access to it.

And in device manager often not set to be active.
If not active though it has a drive letter in disk management it will not show in my computer ect.

Hi Shaun,
tried to rescan as you suggested but no change .I can by using a file restore see all the backup I have on this partition 328gb but how can I get the computer to axcess this partition that was listed D drive and I cant now axcess it. In disc management in the bottom of the screen it shows my hard drive as 700 gb then system 100mb healthy then c 328 gb healthy then 350 gb healthy recovery (the missing D drive )which I cant axcess If I right click on it all I get is Help then 20gb healthy recovery
How can I now get the computer to read this missing drive which until now has always shown D drive By using data recovery I am able to see all that I had on that partition but how can I get the computer to reconise this partition

regards Ron
