Graphics prob help

Solution

That is not strictly true.

The integrated graphics chip can be in one of two places, depending on the motherboard model:

1) integrated with the CPU to create two combined devices, in which case the processor is called an APU (Accelerated Processing Unit).

2) integrated on the motherboard, completely separate from the CPU (this is the more common configuration).

so you mean that motherboard and processors both can contain intel hd graphics

Yes, but only an Intel processor will have an Intel graphics chip on it if it's an APU (as opposed to a regular CPU).

An AMD processor will have an AMD graphics chip on it if it's an APU.

However, if your motherboard already has an integrated on-board graphics chip, there's no point in putting an APU on it. Just put a regular Intel or AMD CPU on it, and if you decide you need better graphics performance, buy a dedicated graphics card.
