Hello,

I'm extremely new to this and I'm sorry for not understanding the technical terms right away.

I have this HP Computer: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02628380&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en#N93

I purchased this Raedon Graphics Card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202061

It says on my box that it supports Win7 but requires a minimum of 750W PSU. My current PSU is 250W that came with the computer.

I suppose what my question is, can I purchase a 800W or 850W PSU that will match up to my motherboard in order to run this graphics card? Any suggestions?

A few games I recently purchased on Steam won't run without a high graphics card, instead of the 4200 that is integrated.

Thank you for any help you can provide!

The problem with PSUs is usually quality more than quantity. Your PC most likely will not break 350W peak so a quality 500+W PSU should get the job done.

The huge scary numbers GPU manufacturers put on their boxes are simply to weed out most low-quality PSUs that often cannot reliably deliver more than about half their sticker rating.
