Motherboard power led missing

Just finished my build using a msi gaming 3 motherboard. I plugged it in and the system works fine but there is no power led lighting up on the motherboard. Is this normal?

It's not normal. I don't know if your motherboard is special and doesn't have one (I think it should have one).

The big question is, does it matter? If your system runs flawlessly without it I'd have to say no. All the LED is telling you is that there is power going to the motherboard.
