Hi, i know the g105m is way past its days but im getting up to 100 sometimes 106/107C playing games like fifa09, EaW, GRId, etc, so not recent games at all; is that temperature still acceptable or is it dangerous for the gpu? Thanks

thanks for the quick reply, i tried compressed air but it didn't do much because i can't reach the fan just from opening the back of the laptop (i would have to dissassemble everything, even the keyboard, to have access to the fan, and i'm not that skilled in computers to trust myself doing that), but i do have an external cooler (a notepal x2) which i hoped would help to compensate for the eventual decrease in performance of the in-built laptop fan, but maybe that isn't enough. In any case from what you said maybe i shouldn't play even those games (or anything) if they keep my gpu temperature above 100c, since it can damage the gpu, is that correct?

The thermal paste is probably dried out. I'd remove the heatsink/cooler, clean the old paste up, and re-apply new paste...and see how that works.
