I'm an audio hardware novice, but I'm not afraid to learn and tackle projects. I obtained the Pioneer CS-G301WA speakers below for free and they work, but the mid range is obviously busted. I know these aren't top of the line speakers, but I'm on a budget and they were free and I think they'll be better than the Sony SS-MB150H speakers I already have.

So, where should I start? It looks like replacement is required, but just repair. How do I find a replacement part and what is involved in the process? Even a link to a video would be great.

The internet says the cone is 4.74", which I've had trouble finding. Would something like this 5" would work and I could trim it down?

If you can find another midrange speaker of the same size, you should be able to install it in place of the broken one by soldering the two wires onto a new one. Speaker cones are fairly universal.
