IPS panels is right in color accuracy yeah, but sucks in gaming as it doesn't responds as fast as TN panels. You should be looking for a TN panel instead if gaming and movies are your main thing. Asus VE248H is what you want then, good solid quality monitor.
If you are into image and video editing and want a IPS instead, get the ASUS VN248H-P.

Not lag like in, frames will just disappear or what. You will see some ghosting issues, not as snappy as TN panels. The VN248H-P is not that slow though, it's a good monitor. You're good either way(i've used the VE248H actually). It's up to you mate.
