I started up my computer, i was on my desktop for 5 minutes, and suddenly my screen has frozen after listening to an mp3 file for 5 seconds, so I restarted my computer. After that, I cannot get a display on my monitor. Everything looks as it should (fans are spinning, no beeping noise on start-up) but no display.
I have tried/done:
- Using a VGA cable instead of HDMI.
- Using on-board graphics
- Checking if HDMI cable is working (on PS3)
- Check if monitor works as it should (it does)
- Switching from my Sapphire HD 7870 to my older graphics card, HD 6670
- Checked if all cables are plugged in
Specs:
**GPU**: AMD Sapphire HD 7870 2GB
**CPU**: AMD FX 4170 Quad Core 4.2GHz
**Hard Drive**: SATA Western Digital, 32mb Cache, 1.5TB
**RAM**: 8GB @1600MHz (2x4)
**MotherBoard**: M5A78L-M-LX-V2, AM3+, DDR3
**PSU**: Corsair CX500
Any help would be appreciated.
