Hey there.
( I know that i have some very outdated stuff atm, I'll upgrade to much better hardware in the upcoming months since I'll have a much better budget there.) I recently bought a used AMD Phenom II x4 945 125w CPU. I'm not sure if my mobo can handle a CPU over 95w, and neither is there much info about the mobo I'm using. Some sites say that the mobo I'm using has an am2+ cpu socket, but CPU-Z says that it's an am3 socket?

https://acersupport.com/acerpanam/desktop/2010/acer/Aspire/AspireM3203/AspireM3203sp3.shtml

I found this site with the specs of the PC I'm using, and it says that it should run with Phenom II quad CPUs. (and since most phenom II quads are 125w, I guess it should work) What do you guys think?

Here's a screen of what CPU-Z says;

My mobo is an Acer RS780HVF. Sorry for any grammatical mistakes, english isn't my first language.

Ok so from what I can see the AM2+ was a stop over from AM2 to AM3, so it was compatible with AM3 chips, but AM2+ chips are not compatible with AM3 boards

I do not know about the power requirements though and cannot find a manual for the mobo, ill keep looking and see if anything comes up
