Is Windows 8 installed on the Acer Aspire, your laptop? If so that's a little tricky as the BIOS is replaced with UEFI; not that it's an issue, you may still be able to boot into the BIOS. Could you power down your laptop, then try the following (whichever hopefully works):
1. Hold F2 and press the power button, keeping hold of F2;
2. Press the power button, and constantly tap F2 as soon as your laptop turns on;
3. Hold FN (Function Key), press the power button, and constantly tap F2 (whilst FN is still on hold) as soon as your laptop turns on.
The aim of the above is to get you into your BIOS. From there perhaps you could enable legacy boot (which disables UEFI). If the above is not possible, do you have your Windows OS installation/recovery disc? It is usually provided when purchasing your laptop. If you have the disc, could you try inserting it into your optical drive and then try powering on your laptop; hopefully that sends you into Windows recovery.
It's also worth noting, try removing all USB devices and ensure the optical disc drive is empty when trying to boot; as it maybe searching those devices for boot data.
The easiest solution I can think of is that if you're still under warranty, perhaps you could have your laptop replaced.
Please let us know how the above suggestions go, and all the best.
