my speakers stopped working

it was working yesterday but today my pc says no audio device is connected
no one touched the computer
i'm confused

are your speakers plugged in and turned on?

If they are try clicking the speaker icon by the clock .

If that doesnt open any door ways , then visit device manager , find the sound entry and right click to uninstall . Then reboot

when i click on the speaker icon it launches a troubleshooter
i have nvidia hd audio in the device manager
uninstall?

Uninstalled it but it is reonstalled again and nothing happened
and of course they are plugged in and turned on

actually it is nvidia high defination audio
and the pci simple communications controller is not installed with a yellow !

The yellow tagged one is the one to uninstall! The Yellow triangle and exclamation mark tell you it is not working . Uninstall it and reboot .Windows will handle it from there

Did you right click and uninstall all the entries listed as sound devices?

Did you reboot?

Did windows indicate it had found new hardware and was installing drivers?
