I just pulled a Crucial 1GB 184-PIN UNBUFF DIMM 128MX6 and a Samsung 256MB DDR PC2700 CL2.5 stick out of an old computer that was laying around and wanted to put it into a Dell Dimension 3000 with an Intel mobo. This Dell has two RAM slots, with two sticks of 256MB DDR 400 CL3 already in it, that I think came stock with it. What combination of these sticks would be best? What slots should I put what in??

This stick of Crucial has a memory clock speed of 333 MHz by itself and each one of the 256er's in the Dell have 333 MHz speed. Even though this 1gig stick seems like an okay upgrade, is it really; will the system get slower if there is only one stick in the mobo?
