Hi everyone,

I recently upgraded my pc and put two PNY GTX 780s into my build. I started with one, however. Upon putting the second card into the build, I've found that my framerates haven't really changed. The only game in which I've seen a clear improvement is BF4 sp, in which my fps went from around 60-70 with one card to an average of 110-120 with two. But other than that, my fps hasn't improved in most games. The other games I've tried were Far Cry 3, Metro: Last Light, and Outlast. Using EVGA Precision X and Nvidia Inspector, I've found that my gpu usage sits at around 60-70%. The rest of my specs are as follows:

CPU: FX 8350 @ 4.818 ghz
Gigabyte 990fxa-ud3
8 gb xpg 1600 MHz ram
Raidmax rx 1000w psu
2 x PNY GTX 780

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Classic problem, most sli configs tend to lose 30% efficiency on the last card in sli.

Also some games don't enable the use of multi gpu processing.

Battlefield is known for being optimized with sli and crossfire configs which is great but in most other games you won't really get much improvement.

It's a shame that developers don't put time into making games more suitable to multi gpus. I'm sorry but like many others you'll just have to hope that they implement it in newer games...

ON THE OTHER HAND. You have a fantastic rig for 3d processing and bitcoin mining. You should look in to mining virtual currency.

Sorry for your loss of fps...

He's right :( . Your FPS will only increase on games that support SLI and there aren't many.
