Hey guys, I just posted the other say about my comp situation but its changed a bit and im looking for more help. Anyway I was playing cs:go and the game crashed, I opened it and it crashed I did this like 3 times until i got blue screen and comp turned off before i could read anything. I tried starting it and it wouldnt start up but it came up with the error message "Boot MGR image corrupt the system cannot boot". I turned it off a few more times to see if it wouldn't start with no luck the second message i got was "The file is possibly corrupt. The file header checksum does not match the computed checksum". I cant even get into the bios now, absolutely nothing when i turn it on just a black blank screen and thats as far as i can get. I figured maybe it was a virus on my ssd or my ssd was toast but i put it into my old comp and it started right up. It did some type of repair but is working fine now in the new comp. Is it possible i have a bios virus or some type of virus or is this a toast Mb? Any input would be very appreciated i really need to get this solved.

My system is
samsung pro 256 gb
msi z87 g45 MB
ripsaws 2x4 gb
haswell i5 3.2ghz
seasonic haswellready 700w PSU

Thanks for the help ;)

It's not a virus. That's for sure. Disconnect any hard drives, solid state disks, your dvd drive, front usb and sound, any peripheral cards like video cards, network cards, etc. Just have the CPU, RAM, (if there is no on-board video, you'll have to use the video card), and power supply hooked up. 24pin power, 4+4 power and that's it. See if the motherboard will POST. See if you can get into BIOS. If you can't, the board is dead. If you can, start adding things back in. I usually start with the front panel, then move onto dvd drive, and save the hard drive/solid state for last. See where the POSTing stops.
