Hi, I am looking for a solid graphics card to play games at 900p (yes, i know my monitor is weird) and atleast 30 fps for under $200. I currently have my eye on the EVGA GeForce GTX 750Ti. I am pleased with its $150 price point and low power consumption, meaning I could downgrade my psu and save money. But I am having trouble taking it seriously, as it is very tiny and doesn't use power from PCIE on the psu. Is the hype about this card real? If not, please suggest a good card to fit my budget and my specs. Thanks for the help :D

The R9 270x is a solid buy and on paper outperforms the 750 Ti. If you want to save around $20 - $30 you could pick up a R9 270 and overclock it to meet or exceed the performance of a R9 270x

Which program would you recommend for overclocking?

MSI Afterburner is great. Sapphire Trixx is also good. I have used both and had voltage problems with Trixx that I did not with Afterburner.

I would do A LOT of research on overclocking first. IMO overclocking can be very troubling and frustrating for beginners. It is a lot of trial and error. It will take you a decent amount of time to get your numbers nice and tight. Depending on the manufacture you will most likely void warranty. If you are still willing to MSI Afterburner will be a good program to overclock.
