Cheap 256GB SSD

I want to get a cheap 256GB SSD. I have a choice between the Corsair Force LX and the Crucial MX100 which is $15 more expensive. Which one to get?

PNY has been switching their controllers around and caught a lot of flak for it. As for why the MX100 is better, the IOPS are what will effect your everyday usage more so than the sequential read/write. the Corsair Force LX has significantly lower IOPS than the MX100.

It's overpriced where I'm located. The two SSDs I wrote are the only ones that are priced OK.


I saw it only has like 30 MB/s extra write speed over the Corsair. After all, it's not that 512GB one but the 256GB one.
I'm more interested in things like reliability. Everyday performance won't actually differ I imagine, but if it is really worth the investment then I'll buy it.
