How to migrate OS to SSD from larger HDD?

I bought a new Samsung 840 evo 120g SSD for my OS and frequently used applications, but I'm having trouble getting the OS over to the SSD. My problem is that my HDD has ~600GB occupied by programs (most of the bulk is games) and that I don't have anywhere to hold temporarily so I could just create a clone. Is there any other way I could manually migrate the OS to the SSD? I tried Samsung's data migration software that came with SSD, but it won't allow me to manually select folders to exclude from the migration.

Also, if at all possible, I would like to avoid a fresh install.

Because that does not exist. Or at least I've never come across one.

The options I've seen are:
Entire drive
Entire partition
Entire C partition excluding the Libraries folders
Only Windows

We'd all like to avoid reinstalling the OS. But sometimes, it really is the best, easiest, choice.
You can buy migration software.

But in your case, I'd just install Windows on the ssd and leave it at that. Run your games off the HDD.

120gb doesn't leave enough room for games too. format drops 20gb. Windows drops 30gb plus 30gb reserve. Leaves you with about 30gb - enough so that the ssd has room to shift stuff around.

For various reasons, I'd like to avoid a fresh install. As for migration software, I can't find any that does what I need it to do, which is manually select which files and folders to exclude.
