Hello there everyone.
I'm about to build a gaming PC, for the first time, and I'm not going to overclock anything, going with stock settings, and I'm noob in this case.
I'm just wondering, is this spec that I'm planning to build is compatible with each other and worth to buy? And could it run modern games like BF4 with Ultra settings? Thanks. :)

Spec :

Proc : Core i5 4460 3,2GHz Box
VGA : Zotac GeForce 780 3GD5
RAM : Team Elite DDR3 PC12800 1600Mhz (2x4GB)
Motherboard : ASRock H81M-GL
Storage : WDC 1TB SATA3 64MB Caviar Blue
Case : CoolerMaster K282
PSU : Corsair VS Series 550W - 80+

More about : good spec worth opinion

Everything is compatible, but I recommend getting a better motherboard and psu. I don't know what your budget is, but I would get a better mobo and psu even if it meant dropping to a GTX770 or R9 290(which really isn't even a downgrade)

You should really balance your components out no point in buying expensive gpu and the rest cheap

CTurbo, Hey thanks for the reply. Well maybe yeah I'll consider purchasing GTX770 or R9 290.
Which one do you recommend? The GTX or R9? Recommended PSU and mobo? Thanks. :)

Wendang, well yeah it's kinda unbalanced. But What's the impact to the gaming performance with the spec above? (Unbalanced components ) :)

It's not smart to build with cheap parts. Building a PC is a big investment so you don't want to get poor quality parts. The motherboard and psu are the most important parts of any build. They are the foundation on which you build on. What is your budget?

Hmm, I got $1,000 now.
Hey what's the impact of using those specs above (unbalanced) on the gaming performance?

You should go for a better mobo like an h87 or h97 and get gtx 770 and a better psu
The gpu you pick is 700watt psu rexommended and you pixed 550 watt psu

Wendeng, okay I'll try to rearrange the build with GTX770 and better psu and mobo. But can a 770 runs modern game smoothly? Sorry I'm a noob.

Yes it will run just fine assuming you play on one monitor at 1920x1080p

And hey, what is the impact of the gaming performance and components durability with those specs above?

You might want to get a better psu like xfx, seasonic brands then you should be good for max settings in most games

Didn't know if you needed to buy windows or not, but if not, you could still get the GTX780 for less than $1000 and these are all high quality highly reliable parts.

What country? The motherboard is alot better, but I've never heard of that psu. That doesn't mean it's terrible, I would just do a bit of research before buying it. I would look for something from XFX, Antec, or SeaSonic.

Indonesia. :)
So the motherboard is good now?
Yeah I'll do a bit research with the component, and I'll also consider of purchasing a component from XFX, Antec, or SeaSonic like you said.

And, if using that motherboard, (let's assume the PSU is Antec HCG 620W 80+), will it run BF4, Crysis 3, or another modern games on ultra settings smoothly? Sorry newbie here. :)

Yes. Any 4th gen i5 + GTX780 will be a great combo.

Alright then, I'll continue the research now, not yet labelling this thread as "Solved" until I get a final decision on my PC build. :)

Hey do the stock cooling fan from the CPU will keep the CPU at good temperatures? Or do I need to buy aftermarket cooler for the CPU?

Aftermarket coolers are for overclocking. Stock coolers are perfectly fine at stocks speeds for any cpu model.

Hey what do you think if I replace the GPU with the 780 OC 3GD5 (Zotac's)?
