Hello! I built a desktop computer recently but I am having a bit of trouble. Everything was working fine until I plugged in an ethernet cord - then after unplugging it, the wifi would not work. I tried turning the adapter and router on and off, I tried using a USB wireless adapter, and I bought a new wireless card - NOTHING worked. My computer can only connect to the internet reliably with an ethernet cord. Now, the weird part is that the computer says it's connected to the wifi, but the computer won't load webpages or anything. I tried pinging my router but the connection keeps timing out. Periodically, it will connect but only for a moment and it's really slow. All my other gadgets connect just fine so I don't think it's the router.
I am out of ideas, does anyone have any helpful advice? Thank you!

edit: I have Windows 7

It's already disabled and I've restarted the computer since then.
