Can't reconnect wires to wireless adapter

I accidentally disconnected the main and auxiliary connection from the network adapter in my laptop. It looks like they're supposed to just snap together but they won't. Am I doing something wrong or is it that simple and I broke the connectors? Is there anywhere to buy new connections for the wired end to replace these? I'm in way over my head here. Any help is appreciated.

The gold round things, right? One is connected to a black wire and one is connected to a white wire? I have only disconnected them but I have never reconnected it but I am just making sure that is what you are taking about.

It seems that you can pinch the base if it is the same thing that I am referring to but I don't know how to do it.

Yeah, that's it. So I should just try pinching with needle nose pliers? I was afraid of touching something I shouldn't with metal so I didn't try that.
