Everywhere on the internet told me to use a windows 7 64bit repair disk to boot from and fix the issue, the only problem is that I bought the OEM version of windows 7 home premium 64bit and I don't have a repair disk. The main install disk says that it can't perform that action when I try and repair from it.

I've made a system repair disk on my laptop which is windows 7 64bit ( not built or installed by me )
and it says that it is not compatible with my system.

This all took place after I replaced my motherboard with an EXACT MAKE AND MODEL of the previous, but apparently windows 7 still has a hissy fit over it.

Since you have Windows 7 you can download a legit image from Digital River HERE for Win 7 x64 Home Premium English SP-1 and it should work fine for doing the repair.

Either burn it to a DVD or make a USB installer stick with THIS Microsoft tool and directions.

If you need to reactivate and the online activation gives you any trouble do the phone activation, as your situation allows for it.

Still says that it is not compatible with my version of windows. Which is windows 7 64 bit home premium. I DON'T KNOW WHY THIS WON'T WORK.

I replaced the motherboard in my machine because the temp. sensor was messed up, I RMAed and got the same motherboard. When I put it in my dad's PC it shows up as D: and it's bootable just fine, on a totally different motherboard.

I've been looking at getting a better motherboard for a while so I just ordered the same model of my dad's and it should work just fine. I also took my dad's SSD harddrive and tried to boot from it in the messed up motherboard and it didn't work. So I think I was sent a motherboard with issues detecting BOOTMGR.
