Hey guys!

So I just finished building my first computer. This is my first time using BIOS, and all of that, as well.

Just minutes ago, I installed Windows 8.1 Pro on my new build from a flash drive.

Now, I have it installed, and I am on Windows 8.1 right now, but under my file system, the only device found is my SSD, which is labeled as the C drive.

I know my 2TB HDD is connected, because it appeared in the boot menu in BIOS, and on the selection screen when installing Windows.

When I installed Windows, I had only partitioned the SSD. Was I supposed to partition the HDD as well?

How do I remedy this?

The setup I am looking for is to have my OS on an SSD, and the program files, and everything else on the HDD.

Thank you.

Thanks. Sorry for missing that thread. I have not formatted it as MBR and made a partition -- I can now access the drive, and it appears in 'Devices and Drives' now.

This is a separate question, but it relates. I may need to open a new thread for it:

How do I set it up so that everything I download, put to the desktop, my program files, etc are put on my SeaGate (G: drive), and not my SSD (C: drive) which I intended only for my OS? Have I missed a step?
