Hello,
I posted a thread and realised as I got the solution I'd put the wrong motherboard in the thread. That was my old model :p I have a Z77-DS3H (MSI) motherboard and would like to see how far I could overclock my i5 - 3570k processor. I have 'Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2 45.0 CFM Fluid Dynamic Bearing CPU Cooler' and 'Antec High Current Gamer 400W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply'. I would like to know A) How far could I do a stable overclock to B) How do I overclock with this motherboard?
I'm probably gonna seem nooby but I'm more of a software guy than hardware.
Thanks in advanced,
Jack.

you still post the wrong mobo Z77-DS3H is gigabyte. GA-Z77-DS3H and due to the absence of any vrm cooling i would keep overclocking at minimal levels and make sure i have plenty of airflow inside my tower.with voltage(manually fixed below 1.2v) im sure you will be able to hit 4.2ghz.overclocking needs study for understanding things and the best way to do is through bios. http://www.overclock.net/t/1198504/complete-overclocking-guide-sandy-bridge-ivy-bridge-asrock-edition

your psu its a nice one but with gt620 no need to oc, it wont help gaming at all. better study to be ready when you upgrade your gpu. with 400w you can still upgrade to gtx750ti as it doesnt require additional power and will be a hell of an upgrade...

When you start your PC, enter the BIOS by pressing F12 or something. Then from there you should be able to increase the CPU's clock multiplier. For every bit you increase, boot up, run the some games or the built-in Windows performance test. If none of them causes problems, then try increasing it more.

But can your PSU handle it ?

I don't know how to get into where I increase the clock multiplier, and my PSU is 'Antec High Current Gamer 400W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply'.
