As the question says. I'd love to know soon if my AMD A8 6600k APU will bottle neck my ASUS DirectCU II GTX 760. the motherboard is a FM2-E55M-E35

Yes it will on higher resolutions. If its 720p then its ok.

Why would the CPU affect how a GPU performs at higher resolution?

It's more likely the other way, if the resolution is very low, the GPU is too fast for that number of pixels and the CPU cannot feed it fast enough.

As for the original question... it should be fine, however don't expect things to run very smoothly in general, today's AMD CPU's are so-so.

I have had no problem with the stability of my AMD a8 so far. its very fast.

Games like Battlefield 4, Arma3, Crysis 3 etc will make you lag at higher res.

Well i can play BF4 on med with 29fps on 720p with just the apu using the high mghz ram.
Well something like that. also. I play Arma 3 no problem at all using the APU.

Singleplayer might be ok but multiplayer will suffer because of the vast environment. Get a Radeon R9-270X and then enable mantle

But I do play Multiplier and see no problems with stability. Still a clean play through and it's too later to buy another GPU.
