When I started up my computer today (from hibernation), it gave me a message, that new software has been installed (drivers), 2x of AMD Engineering Sample. Obviously I did a restart, and for my surprise: I found out that my CPU was clocked to 1.7 from 3.4 GHz.

As I looked around in CPU-Z and AIDA, CPU-Z showed me that I was running a AMD Engineering Sample Opteron 1300, and AIDA was showing me a underclocked AMD Athlon II X2 270.

When I went into the BIOS (UEFI) it showed me the AMD Engineering Sample at 1.4 GHz and the clock settings were messed up. I changed some of the clock settings to match my old settings, and did a restart, but my PC wouldn't show a picture anymore after booting up.

After restarting and turning off power from the PSU about 15 times, I got back to the Windows (at the original clock sped and original CPU stats) and here I am writing this. What could be wrong with the PC or ..?
