Sorry for a silly question but I recently upgraded my computer and now I'm running a pretty decent GPU (r9 290). Question is - Am I getting the best out of my monitor for this card, I have a pretty unspectacular but decent Phillips 21.5 inch 226V model.

I wanted to buy a new Asus MX239H

but would I notice the difference and would it be worth spending the $200-300 on it or just stay with what I have?
