What a great community here ! especially to find people from my location, India, Pune!

Currently thinking of building a gaming system for Rs 60,000 .. around $1000
I have gone through many of the forum threads and need some guidance..
Intention is to run some latest upcoming games like Planetside 2 etc with minimum 50ish fps at high if not ultra high settings.. was wondering if such is possible to do such in my budget ..
This is going to be a work desktop in work hours and total gaming desktop when work hours are over! [ work from home rocks ! =P ]
Also, help me decide between intel or amd based system... currently what is better for gaming ??.. I did visit many review sites and saw 'per buck' performance.
Amd cpu+mobo based systems seems to be cheaper than intel while intel cpu+mobo based systems are performing a little bit better on test scores; but I doubt if that justifies the higher cost?
Amd Ghost.. I have that old ghost of 'amd is not good' on my neck.. has the time come to kill this ghost in 2014 and go for amd based system for gaming?
Also, as this is going to be a work desktop in work hours, this gaming rig will never be overclocked .. so not looking for OC friendly hardware.. rather looking for non OC friendly hardware =)

What would you recommend for a motherboard, Wendeng? I'm not sure what a good motherboard is for non-OC CPU's.
