I need a case for overclocking. I am going to be overclocking a 4970K with a Noctua NH-D14 cooler. I originally thought about the Fractal Design Arc Midi R2, but then I got an offer to buy the Antec P280 for $30 cheaper. Should I invest in the case or is the Arc Midi R2 better? Silence is not a deal breaker for me, but if performance is about the same I'd rather go for the silent one.

They are both good choices. They both have a nice amount of room behind the MB tray for cable management. They both are about 9" wide for plenty of room for coolers. The Arc Mini has a 3 speed fan controller for the included fans. The Antec has a front cover that needs to be opened for access to anything you have in the 5 1/4" bays. That would bug me. Maybe you, not so much. I have the Arc Midi R2 and the Arc Mini both. I think they are made a bit better than the Antec, but maybe not worth $30 to you.
