Should I get more RAM?

I usually have a large amount of programs running at once and at times it can slow down my computer.

It is not all the time but I would like to be able to have as much open as I like so I can play games, use Photoshop etc without a worry.

I only have one slot left (I have 2x 4GB Corsair Vengeance RAM) and one slot is covered by the CPU Fan as I could not install it vertically. Is it worth getting an 8GB stick for the final slot to get the most out of it?

If you mix and match it will probably not work, you may be able to install a third stick but even then it would probably want it in the first slot.
What motherboard are you using and what speed is your RAM currently

It doesn't provide any info on 3 sticks in your manual, if you do put in an extra stick it would definitely not be running dual channel anymore
Advise is if you want more ram either go to a 2x8 setup or change your CPU cooler and add another set of 2x4 Vengeance.
Going to cost a bit to do either way so you might want to make sure you want the extra RAM for the cost
