My PC has an i5-4570 with a GTX 760. I also have an ASUS Z87-C Motherboard. Would upgrading the CPU be worth while or would a better GPU be worth while? I also have Hard Drive. Would upgrading the SSD first benefit more?

It depends on what you are doing. If you are gaming, stick with the 4570. It is perfectly fine for gaming. You already have Haswell, too. You don't, in my opinion, need to upgrade. That money will be better spent upgrading to an SSD or maybe upgrading your GPU.

The main difference to the i7 4790k is higher stock clock speed, 4Ghz and hyperthreading that makes it similar to a 8-core CPU. Depending on your needs that may not be necessary, gaming is more GPU-intensive than CPU-intensive and 8 cores are required by few games being more required by 3D rendering, photo editing, streaming and general multistasking. That and Broadwell hitting the market around or after Xmas.

My budget is around 700-800 dollars. I agree that and SSD is a good choice but I need at least 1 terabyte of space. How could I just use the SSD for speed? Also, with my budget out there, what are some good upgrade options. Keep in mind, I am in high school and can only spend about $1000 for the yearly upgrade.

What components do you have and what are you missing? depending on that, 1000 gives you a lot of room for improvements.

Here is the entire PC - i5-4570 - GTX 760 - Corsair CX600w PSU - ASUS Z87-C Motherboard - 1 Terabyte Hard Drive. I would like the keep it towards 700 dollars if possible. I think that a new PSU will be needed for a better GPU.

You are fine for getting a second GTX 760 or, sell your current 760 and go for a 780 non-Ti, which will leave you around $370 for buying an SSD. You can get a good http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147194, and if you really stretch a little bit, you could get http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147251&cm_re=samsung_840_evo_1_TB-_-20-147-251-_-Product as a good option.

I think sticking with a single card is the way to go. I don't want the SLI problems and I feel a single card is easier to manage.

I know, I am saying to sell your card and go with a GTX 780. SLI also gives awesome performance. My 2 cards give me over 780 Ti performance.

That will be Q1 2015, maybe even Q2. We don't even know what to expect. There could be a heat issue when it releases, it could be the best in the world (again), or it could just be a letdown. I would stick with the 700 series especially because the 880 series will be priced extremely high when it first releases.
