Intel Chipset doubt/recommendation... Please HELP

So, I am going to build an ultimate gaming & multimedia beast machine, I had earlier selected Asus Rampage IV Black Edition(Intel X79 Chipset) and Intel Core i7 Extreme 4960X Hexa Core Processor.

But now I have a doubt whether should I take a motherboard with Intel Z97 Chipset & Intel Core i7 4790K Quad Core Processor with more features, better clock speed and built in Graphics.(graphics isn't a matter). And the second thing is Intel X79 is an older version, but the Z97 is a new generation chipset.

So should I change the chipset ? Any suggestion, or recommendation ? :??:

Any Help will be appreciated.

My opinion is why spend that kind of money on a platform that is quite old (2 gens). You should be able to get very similar performance from the newer Z97 chips and spend less, get more features, and be open to future upgrades.

It's then decided that I will go for z97. Then can somebody please recommend a good intel z97 motherboard ?

Depends on your budget but some of the best built and most feature filled boards are the ASUS ROG series. The Z97 boards are the Maximus VII ones (should be 4-5 different boards with different features and prices). I have a VI for Haswell and it is the best board I have owned so far.

Okay no budget what I would:

A) Wait for the rest of the Maximus VII to come out and get either the extreme (high end OC focused) or the Formula (high end gaming focused)

B) Wait for the X99 boards and the Maximus X99 Black edition (This will be Haswell-E top of the line)

The Z97 boards are still new and not a whole lot out for them yet plenty announced though.

But now I have changed my mind. I will go for a Z97 Deluxe (NFC & WLC) motherboard. Sorry for the confusion! I compared the Z97 Deluxe(NFC&WLC)mobo with the maximus vii editions, and found out that the z97 deluxe (nfc & wlc) is better.
