So I have AMD FX 6300 with Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo and I want to overclock it to 4,2GHz. And I'm wondering what voltage should I put it on? My motherboard is Gigabyte GA-990XA-UD3.

More about : voltage 6300

Voltage varies from processor to processor, even if they're exactly the same. I find the easiest way is to leave the voltage on automatic and then check within BIOS or HWMonitor (BIOS preferably) to see how much is being used. You can use that as a yardstick and gradually lower the voltage until you find the sweet spot.
