Hi everyone. I noticed my Corsair CX600 makes this weird hissing sound when I turn on the computer. It sort of sounds likes blowing air through your teeth. The sound only lasts for a couple of minutes and then goes away. I tried replacing the psu with a Corsair AX760, but the hissing sound is still there when I start up the computer. Any ideas what could be causing it?

I have a Corsair H60 CPU cooler. Are you sure it's the cooler though? It really does sound like its coming from the PSU.

unplug the pump power, then start the system...

If the noise stops or changes immediately after putting a heavier load on the CPU/GPU, your problem could be a phase margin issue in the PSU's feedback loop causing irregular operation. Not really a problem as long as outputs still remain within specs but it can be annoying.

Ok, so it looks like it is the cooler making the hissing sound, which is kind of weird since it never used to make this hissing sound. Just wondering though, why is the hissing coming from the psu and not the cooler?
