Can any SLI expert advise me if the Z77 and /or Z97 chipset will not cause any problem to SLI

I am having "haze" or other called it "rainbow" effect on my display during gaming. My mbd is Z68XP-UD3P with BIOS upgraded to UEFI. The Z68 chipset has onboard graphics facility and this I think is most likely the cause of the problem. I remember that I did manage to play a couple of hours of ME3 multiplayer without the "haze" or "rainbow" effect in SLI before I upgraded the BIOS to UEFI. I had disabled the onboard graphics. But with the UEFI, disabling the onboard graphics doesn't seem to help at all.
Spec is:
Z68XP-UD3P
i5-2500K 3.3 ghz
2 x 4 gb Cosair 1600 ram
2 x MSI GeForce GTX 660 Ti OC - SLI
win 7 ultimate 64bit Retail
128 gb SSD (boot)
1 TB HD (data)
1250w 85% efficient PSU
I have even tried enabling the onboard graphics and installed VirtU. Although ME3 did not crash, the "haze" or "rainbow" effect was there all the time. There was one thing I had noticed though. When I was trying out The Witcher 2's performance test, it only reported that my system had 4 gb of Ram. It should be . I ran the window memtest but no error was found.
What I had done now was that I had bought a Asus P8Z77-V LX motherboard. It was only £65. It has onboard graphics and has SLI as well. I have my eyes on an EVGA Z97 classified, again with onboard graphics. If the Asus doesn't work with SLI then I may as well upgrade to the latest. But back to present, I guess that becase the Z68 mbd was quite an old one and also not a popular board at the time, I could not get any advice on that one. It is quite frustrating. The rig is fast but the "haze" - sort of green tint on every thing and in a "rainbow" effect, or rings like pattern. That really killed the enjoyment.
The other question I like to put to SLI expert, can the SLI bridge make a difference? My last board was a XFX 790i Ultra SLI, the bridge was a stiff one. With this Z68, the bridge is a floppy one. Unfortunately, the distance between the two cards is different, XFX is further apart than the Gigabyte Z68, so I cannot use the bridge from XFX board. Any suggest wil be greatly appreciated.

This is very embrassing. But provides some help for anyone building a SLI machine in the future, please watch out for the way that the SLI bridge is plugged in. I swapped the bridge around and my machine is now functioning beautifully. With my last machine (XFX 790i Ultra SLI), the brdige has clear marking. So pin 1 on bridge go with pin 1 on card. And if I plugged it in the wrong way, the machine wouldn't boot up. But with this Gigabyte board, it booted up. So I thought I had the bridge in the correct way. And then because I am not familiar with the UEFI bios, I tended to blame everything on it. I wasted so many hours just because I didn't follow the basic rules of elimination.
By the way, P8Z77-V LX does not support SLI, P8Z77-V LK does. So, I returned the P8Z77-V LX, which worked out quite well for me though I have lost a lot of heart and soul on one stupid mistake. I only slept for two hours last Friday just to went through everything except the bridge. Silly me.
