I received a y510p as a Christmas present last year and up until now it preformed well. But recently when ever I unplug it it shuts down (not a normal shut down more like a crash) at first I thought it was the battery but when I start it it will run for up to an hour before needing charged. This however is not the reason for this post. I have come to the conclusion that it is some type of hardware issue and since it is still under warranty I will be sending it to lenovo for servicing. Because I will have to backup and wipe the hard drive before I send it in I figured this would be a good time to upgrade the hard drive to a ssd. I like this ssd

I am just wondering if this ssd will work with the y510p as I am unsure if the y510p supports sata 3.
If it does not would you suggest a reasonably priced alternative that does work, also I would prefer a 5oo GB or greater ssd but if a smaller one is significantly cheaper I may consider it.
