I have a modem, which goes to a router currently. The router then has a Ethernet cable going out to a switch (via a 50 ft. cable running underneath my floorboards) and from there to my Xbox 360/PS4. I recently had a WiFi extender from Netgear plugged in from the switch as well. Well today I found out that I had been mislead by the Best Buy guy, who said it would take an Ethernet cable and turn it into WiFi. It's now sitting in my bedroom unused because I can't get it to work. So my question is if I get a new AC router for my cable internet and use it in my bedroom, can I stick my current Netgear router (which is currently in my bedroom) into my living room and have 2 routers on the same network, theoretically it should work but I want someone's opinion and advice on it before I drop 70 dollars on it.
